San Francisco's Fort Mason was heaven on earth for lovers of handmade clothing, jewelry, home wares, and art objects [ahem....ME to all of the above] this weekend as indie designers from Portland all the way to LA set up shop at West Coast Craft. An incredible curation of *the best* artisans and designers working in leather, wood, textiles, and metals, the show displayed a definitive west coast cool and effortless refined style.
ILANO's inaugural line made an appearance at the Little Paper Planes booth and it was a heart stopping moment to see our bags on the arms of many a stylish lady walking around the fair. I left with an Osei-Duro dress, a Kathleen Whitaker chain/stud, a zine from Oakland's own Homestead Apothecary, and some sound herbal advice from Fat and the Moon...I gotta say it was a good day! The west coast is the best coast.
